Firebird is the most popular headwind driver of Innova. Its speed and overstability enable throwing reliably even in headwind. Firebird is also well suitable for long S-curve shots. The disc is popular among players throwing forehand and upside down.
InnVision Star discs have a UV-protected ink with vivid designs.
InnVision Star from Innova
Classic Star plastic with great durability and grip, but with a full-color art design with UV-protected inks to keep the image vibrant.
Innova Discs started in 1983 and have been at the forefront of disc golf ever since. Based in Rancho Cucamonga, California, Innova Discs has a full line of discs from putters to distance drivers in many popular plastic types.
The four numbers on a disc tell you the discs’s flight characteristics: speed, glide, turn, and fade.
Lower speed ratings typically translate to a disc being easier to throw, but may not go as far. Higher the speed, further they’ll fly, but they are more difficult to throw.
Glide tells you how much it wants to stay in the air.
Turn indicates how much it wants to turn to the right at high speeds. -4 will turn more than -1.
Fade tells you about the end of the flight. The higher the number, the stronger it will finish to the left.
