The Innova Blizzard Champion Destroyer is Innova's most popular distance driver in a very lightweight plastic. With thousands of micro bubbles in the plastic, this Destroyer can get to weights as low as 130 grams. It's perfect for high speed throws, great distance, and little effort.
Blizzard Champion from Innova
The tiny micro bubbles in the Champion line material are what makes a Blizzard Champion disc different from the Champion plastic. Thanks to this innovation,Innova have been able to produce wide rim distance drivers in lower weights - as low as 130 grams. These lower weights equal longer drives and the low-end of the weight spectrum will especially help recreational players to reach all new distances.
Many first time Blizzard users have a tendency to overpower their drives with the Blizzard plastic concluding in heavy turnovers and loss of controllability. When you hold the disc in your hand you easily think that you need to go full power since it's a maximum distance disc. Contrary to this, the key with shooting Blizzard discs is patience. Try using just 70-80 % of your power and arm speed and really concentrate on a clean release. You'll get longer drives with less effort and using less power really helps keeping the disc on the line.
Innova Discs started in 1983 and have been at the forefront of disc golf ever since. Based in Rancho Cucamonga, California, Innova Discs has a full line of discs from putters to distance drivers in many popular plastic types.
The four numbers on a disc tell you the discs’s flight characteristics: speed, glide, turn, and fade.
Lower speed ratings typically translate to a disc being easier to throw, but may not go as far. Higher the speed, further they’ll fly, but they are more difficult to throw.
Glide tells you how much it wants to stay in the air.
Turn indicates how much it wants to turn to the right at high speeds. -4 will turn more than -1.
Fade tells you about the end of the flight. The higher the number, the stronger it will finish to the left.
