The Discmania CD1 was first released in 2014 as the CD2. Since then, they've reinvented the mold and renamed it to the CD1. This Special Edition honors the past 10 years with a great Swirly look.

You'll get that gentle turn with great control before just enough fade to help it break out of the turn. Some say it flies like a nicely beat-in Discmania PD.

Color Notes

The Blue discs have a subtle swirly green-gold like metallic swirl. The Light Orange discs have a subtle swirly white swirl through it.

Swirl S-Line from Discmania

Swirl S-line is a unique blend of S-line plastic with added color variation for unique look. This plastic is available for tournament fundraisers or team fundraiser discs.

Excellent grip in all weather conditions with great durability. This plastic ages well, which means that your disc doesn't change drastically in its flight behavior after a couple of collisions with trees. Recommended plastic for drivers.

The Finnish based company also has a home in Colorado. With three lines of discs, Originals, Evolution, and Active, Discmania aims to be at the forefront of the sport’s growth with unique discs, course design, and marketing. Founder and CEO Jussi Meresmaa was named Finland’s Entrepreneur of the Year in 2021.

The four numbers on a disc tell you the discs’s flight characteristics: speed, glide, turn, and fade.

Lower speed ratings typically translate to a disc being easier to throw, but may not go as far. Higher the speed, further they’ll fly, but they are more difficult to throw.

Glide tells you how much it wants to stay in the air.

Turn indicates how much it wants to turn to the right at high speeds. -4 will turn more than -1.

Fade tells you about the end of the flight. The higher the number, the stronger it will finish to the left.
