The Discmania MD4 has been reinvented! This overstable midrange brings a strong fade, but surprises you with a decent amount of glide. The MD4 sports a blunt nose with the same micro-bead as the MD3. From fighting headwinds to strong hyzer finishes, the Discmania MD4 is certainly an overstable workhorse of a disc.
This prototype is a fundraiser for the 2024 European Open.
Metal Flake C-line from Discmania
Metal Flake C-line plastic is regular C-line plastic with a twist. Tiny metal particles have been added to the extra durable C-line plastic to give the disc an extraordinary shine.
The Finnish based company also has a home in Colorado. With three lines of discs, Originals, Evolution, and Active, Discmania aims to be at the forefront of the sport’s growth with unique discs, course design, and marketing. Founder and CEO Jussi Meresmaa was named Finland’s Entrepreneur of the Year in 2021.
The four numbers on a disc tell you the discs’s flight characteristics: speed, glide, turn, and fade.
Lower speed ratings typically translate to a disc being easier to throw, but may not go as far. Higher the speed, further they’ll fly, but they are more difficult to throw.
Glide tells you how much it wants to stay in the air.
Turn indicates how much it wants to turn to the right at high speeds. -4 will turn more than -1.
Fade tells you about the end of the flight. The higher the number, the stronger it will finish to the left.
