The Discmania DD1 sets out to to be your go-to distance driver that is easy to control, yet can still gain easy distance. The DD1 is a bit of of a little brother to the Discmania DD3.
Expect to see smooth, straight flights which can play well on tighter courses. The rim is a bit smaller than the DD3 and is easier to hold.
This Triumph Series release marks the win for Team Discmania's Niklas Anttila at the 2024 Open at Austin.
Glow C-Line from Discmania
A glow-in-the-dark blend of Discmania's popular C-line plastic. Discs molded in Glow C-line plastic typically appear more stable than the same model would be in other plastic blends.
The Finnish based company also has a home in Colorado. With three lines of discs, Originals, Evolution, and Active, Discmania aims to be at the forefront of the sport’s growth with unique discs, course design, and marketing. Founder and CEO Jussi Meresmaa was named Finland’s Entrepreneur of the Year in 2021.
The four numbers on a disc tell you the discs’s flight characteristics: speed, glide, turn, and fade.
Lower speed ratings typically translate to a disc being easier to throw, but may not go as far. Higher the speed, further they’ll fly, but they are more difficult to throw.
Glide tells you how much it wants to stay in the air.
Turn indicates how much it wants to turn to the right at high speeds. -4 will turn more than -1.
Fade tells you about the end of the flight. The higher the number, the stronger it will finish to the left.
