The Discmania Essence is the do-it-all fairway driver in the Evolution line up. This understable fairway driver can do quite a bit with smooth backhand or forehand shots while also being a great roller. Stronger arms can get the Essence to dance down the fairway while slower arms can get a smooth flight with great glide.

This special edition sports a limited Powergrip Skull stamp handcrafted by the legendary Skeet Scienski.

Evolution Meta from Discmania

Discmania's Evolution Meta plastic is the most overstable version of the standard Neo and Lux plastics. Durability, grip, and glide are roughly the same as Neo. The iridescent qualities of Meta plastic will change colors when tilted at different angles when held in any light, making for an even more unique.

The Finnish based company also has a home in Colorado. With three lines of discs, Originals, Evolution, and Active, Discmania aims to be at the forefront of the sport’s growth with unique discs, course design, and marketing. Founder and CEO Jussi Meresmaa was named Finland’s Entrepreneur of the Year in 2021.

The four numbers on a disc tell you the discs’s flight characteristics: speed, glide, turn, and fade.

Lower speed ratings typically translate to a disc being easier to throw, but may not go as far. Higher the speed, further they’ll fly, but they are more difficult to throw.

Glide tells you how much it wants to stay in the air.

Turn indicates how much it wants to turn to the right at high speeds. -4 will turn more than -1.

Fade tells you about the end of the flight. The higher the number, the stronger it will finish to the left.
