The Discmania Function is an easy to throw fairway driver and the most understable flight of any Discmania disc so far. The Function is a little more understable than the Essence. The Function is a great choice for those just getting started or those with slower arm speeds, but it's also a great option for more experienced disc golfers. Expect easy hyzer flips and great distance with little effort.

This Prototype is a fundraiser for the 2024 European Open. From Discmania, "All EO Forge Functions will not come with tooling information on the bottom of the disc aside from the weight embossing. Production runs of the Function in the future will not be prototypes and can be told apart from the protos by this distinction especially. This disc is also not currently legal for play in PDGA sanctioned events. When the disc is approved after submission, EO Forge Functions will also automatically become eligible for play."

Evolution Forge from Discmania

Forge plastic is Evolution Line’s custom plastic with metallic outlook, a very shiny finish and translucent look. Forge plastic is similar in flexibility to Neo plastic.

The Finnish based company also has a home in Colorado. With three lines of discs, Originals, Evolution, and Active, Discmania aims to be at the forefront of the sport’s growth with unique discs, course design, and marketing. Founder and CEO Jussi Meresmaa was named Finland’s Entrepreneur of the Year in 2021.

The four numbers on a disc tell you the discs’s flight characteristics: speed, glide, turn, and fade.

Lower speed ratings typically translate to a disc being easier to throw, but may not go as far. Higher the speed, further they’ll fly, but they are more difficult to throw.

Glide tells you how much it wants to stay in the air.

Turn indicates how much it wants to turn to the right at high speeds. -4 will turn more than -1.

Fade tells you about the end of the flight. The higher the number, the stronger it will finish to the left.
