Powergrip USA first launched in mid-2022. We took the foundation that was built in Finland and has treated us well for 15 great years. In early 2024, we began discussing the features needed to help move Powergrip USA forward. We've seen technology quickly evolve, the industry landscape change many times, and consumer behavior shift on a constant basis. We knew we needed to do something that answered the call of our customers and today marks the first day of many of those answers coming to life.
We've taken the elements of our previous store and adapted them to this new edition. It also opens up many exciting possibilities for us as we enter the 2025 disc golf season.
We'll preview the new features today, but you'll learn more about each of these in the coming weeks.
Coming soon to Powergrip USA will be: Individual disc photos with profile shots and more, shipping to Canada and soon other countries, a new Powergrip Points rewards program (if you've shopped with us in the last year, you already have points), and more.
Individual Disc Photos
We've heard you since day one and we're excited to bring this much asked for feature to our site. We know we've been at a disadvantage not having individual disc photos. We've never questioned it. We wanted to find a solution that maintained a high quality photo while also providing the unique view for each disc.
We're currently photographing our existing inventory and will have individual disc photos rolled out for everything in-stock in March. Our goal is to do this as quickly as we can in the coming weeks.
You'll also get a profile photo along with individual disc measurements for Parting Line Height (PLH) and Dome. You will be able to compare two of the same mold and find the flat one or the domey one that goes beyond just a photo.
The wait is almost over. We know you'll love it.
Shipping to Canada
Over the last three years we've talked to many of our Canadian friends who have wished for us to open up shipping for them. Once the dust settles on this transition, we'll open up international shipping to Canada in March. If you've reached out in the past, you'll hear from us here soon. We'll need your help to get things right.
We do have plans to expand to other countries as well later in the year.
Powergrip Points
Starting today, our new Powergrip Points rewards program is live. Our program consists of three tiers: Par, Birdie, and Eagle. You'll earn points on every purchase and can earn points by leaving product reviews, shopping on a bonus weekend, celebrating a birthday, or just engaging with us on Instagram or Facebook. Then, you can cash in those points for discounts, free shipping, even free discs.
Best of all, any purchases since January 1, 2024 to today have earned you points. Login to your account and set things up to check your balance. If you see anything that looks strange, reach out to us and we'll be happy to help.
In addition to that, your purchase history since we opened in 2022 will determine your starting Rewards Tier. If you've been with us since the start, there is a good chance you'll be a the Birdie level, or even the Eagle level starting today.
The higher your rank, the quicker you can earn points, which means the quicker you can cash in on the deals.
Updated Shipping Policy
We're making two small changes to our Shipping Policy. First, we're bumping our weekday order deadline to 3 p.m. Eastern Time instead of 4 p.m. We've been working with our local USPS branch for quite a while now to coordinate daily pickups and this change will ensure your disc goes out the same day you purchase it and will be with USPS by the end of the afternoon.
Additionally, any orders shipping by UPS or any other carrier, will see an additional 1-2 days of processing time. We'll aim to get it shipped out as quickly as possible, but we can't guarantee the same-day drop off on those orders.
